17.08.2011 - Local Lad Joins the Clan
Braehead Clan are pleased to announce the signing of local lad Callum Adamson. Forward Callum is originally from Cowdenbeath, and he will be looking to the Clan to help him progress his professional hockey career. Callum is a product of the Kirkcaldy Junior Ice Hockey development and over the last 2 seasons has been playing for both the Under 20s and Fife Flyers. Callum has played for both the U17s and U19s Scotland teams and was the Assistant Captain at U17 level. He has also been selected for the GB U20 squad. He has won the “Best Forward” accolade for the last 2 seasons and in just 13 games for the U20s last season he scored 19 goals and 21 assists, an average of 3 points per game.

Clan Bench Coach Frank Morris had the following to say “Callum is definitely one to watch for the future. It will take him time to find his feet at this level at such a young age however there is no doubt in my mind that he is ready both mentally and physically to step up to the challenge ahead.”

Callum had the following to say on his signing news, “I would like to thank Drew and Frank. I feel that this is a great opportunity. I am really excited about the forthcoming season. It will be fantastic to be able to train, learn and hopefully get a chance to play alongside some of the best players in British Ice Hockey.”
